The Voluntary Youth Sector in the Eastern Region is strong. In many counties it is the main provider of youth work. The vibrancy and variety of the work of the sector is vast, reflecting the many varied organisations and individuals with a commitment to providing development opportunities for young people.
About VYSER
VYSER is the infrastructure group for the East of England that exists to support the development and ensure the recognition of a vibrant, robust and diverse voluntary youth sector.
VYSER's aims are:
- to influence public policy and regional and local decision making.
- to promote consistency and quality of work with young people; and
- to raise and maintain the profile of its members' work with young people.
VYSER is a member of the National Council for Voluntary Youth Services (NCVYS), the Community and Voluntary Forum for the Eastern Region (COVER), has links with the Government Office for the East of England (GO-EAST), the East of England Development Agency (EEDA), the East of England Regional Assembly (EERA) and Local Authority Youth Services for the Eastern Region (LAYSER).
